
A bus and train network provides links between the three London airports of Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow. The following list shows the various possibilities to reach the three airports.
Heathrow – Gatwick
Bus
The British company National Express operates a shuttle service between the two airports, with bus rides leaving 6 times per hour. Tickets can be purchased at any of the National Express booths, situated near the terminals, at the central bus station in Heathrow, or directly on board. The journey takes approximately 70 minutes.
Train
Gatwick Express operates a service every 15 minutes from and to London Victoria station . The journey takes about 30 minutes until Gatwick south terminal. Passengers who need to reach the north terminal can make use of the free shuttle situated near the train platform. Heathrow Express is a special service leaving every 15 minutes from London Paddington station and from the airport station (Terminals 1,2,3,4). The journey takes 15 minutes. While the Heathrow Connect Services operates the same service as Heathrow Express, but the journey takes no less than 30 minutes due to numerous stops, one in particular calling at the underground station of Piccadilly. Paddington and Liverpool street stations are connected by bus, underground and taxi.
